MANILA—Ford Group Philippines posted record high monthly vehicle sales of 1,723 units in July, reflecting a 35-percent increase compared to the number of units sold in the same month last year.

This brought the company’s total sales from January to July to 10,587 units.

“The continuing rise in appeal for the Ford brand among Filipinos, a strong economy and healthy consumer confidence is helping keep our showrooms busy across the country. And our full line-up of global Ford vehicles is allowing us to connect with and meet the wants and needs of such a wide range of customers,” said Kay Hart, managing director of Ford Philippines.

“Our July success is a continuation of an exceptional year for Ford in the Philippines, and demonstrates that Ford is going further to deliver a lineup of global vehicles that Filipinos continue to appreciate and enjoy,” she added.

According to Ford, its record July performance was led by an all-time record month for Ford Ranger, along with the continued strong demand for the EcoSport, Explorer and Everest.
