Robinsons opens 198-room Go Hotel in Ortigas

MANILA—Robinsons Land Corp. has opened a new 198-room budget hotel in Ortigas Center, the eighth in its growing value hotel chain under the “Go Hotels” brand which has now reached 1,000 rooms nationwide.

The new budget hotel is located on the first four floors of RLC’s mixed-use Cyberscape Alpha office building on Garnet Road and is intended to provide guests of building tenants and other corporate clients a convenient and affordable place to stay alongside local and overseas travelers.

“The Ortigas Center branch will serve the large number of business travelers as well as tourists visiting the central business district and the nearby malls,” Go Hotels general manager Elizabeth Gregorio said in a press statement on Wednesday.

This new hotel, which had its soft opening last July 25, is the third Go Hotels branch in Metro Manila. Its 198 guest rooms also make it Go Hotels’ second biggest branch nationwide, next to the very first Go Hotels branch in Mandaluyong with 223 rooms.

Next to Makati, the Ortigas Center is deemed the most important central business district and is home to commercial centers, financial institutions, office buildings and a lot of the country’s top corporations.

Gregorio noted that most, if not all, of the hotels found in Ortigas Center were priced at P3,000 and up. She added that Go Hotels, on the other hand, was “reasonably priced at an average of P2,000 per night with the same sleeping experience as other hotels.”

“Those who book early may even get the rooms for as low as P88 plus VAT (value added tax),” Gregorio said.
