The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), in partnership with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), will hold the first Brand Development and IP Protection Summit Wednesday.
The summit will provide a platform for domestic and international brand owners to learn about the latest trends and strategies in brand development.
Strategies in IP protection and the latest trends and developments in IP enforcement in the Philippines will also be discussed at the meeting.
“IP use and awareness among businesses in the country is increasing. Through the Summit and through the Council, we aim to provide the necessary framework in the further development and protection of IP assets of our businesses,” said Jesus B. Varela, Chair, PCCI Intellectual Property Committee.
“Increased IP awareness and appreciation among our businesses will help us ensure that the Philippines will remain off the Special 301 List in the years to come,” said IPOPHL Director General Ricardo Blancaflor.
The summit will be held at Marriot Hotel Manila.
