Gerry’s Grill expanding branch network

Local fast-casual dining restaurant chain Gerry’s Grill will invest P36 million to P45 million more in the fourth quarter, aiming to hit the 47-branch mark within the year.

According to Prime Pacific Grill Inc. chief executive Gerry Apolinario, three more branches are scheduled to open October to December in Laoag City in Ilocos Norte; Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna; and Zamboanga City.

Each Gerry’s Grill branch requires an investment of between P12 million and P15 million, depending on the size and location.

In the third quarter, Gerry’s Grill opened three branches in various areas in the country: Greenbelt 3 in Makati City, Abreeza Mall in Davao City, and SM City in Pampanga. It will open its fourth branch this quarter at Robinsons Place in Cagayan de Oro, its third in Mindanao, within the month.

Apolinario said the Cagayan de Oro branch had been pipelined “for some time now.”

Gerry’s Grill plans to further expand outside of Metro Manila, particularly in places frequently visited by local and foreign tourists.

The restaurant chain currently has presence in major travel destinations such as Baguio, Bohol, Boracay, Cebu, Davao and Tacloban.

It has also spread its wings outside the country, with branches at the Rasa Pura Masters food court of the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, Union City in San Francisco, and Cerritos in Los Angeles.—Abigail L. Ho
