The dinner event, dubbed ‘Magical Northern Lights’, will highlight some of the Nordic companies in the Philippines by presenting the NBCP Awards in the following categories:
(a) Largest Nordic Employer in the Philippines;
(b) Fastest growing Nordic SME in the Philippines; and
(c) Nordic-Philippine CSR Activity of the Year.
Former president Fidel V. Ramos has been invited to deliver a keynote message to members and guests of the NBCP, including Nordic and Philippine executives and business owners, and members of the diplomatic corps.
The Nordic countries, consisting of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden were the fifth-largest European trading partner of the Philippines in 2012 with P25.2 billion exports and P16.3 billion imports, totaling P41.5 billion in trade.
The presence of Nordic companies in the Philippines has increased in recent years, with currently an estimated 150 Nordic companies operating in the country.
