MANILA, Philippines — Diesel and kerosene prices are being rolled back at pump stations this week starting Tuesday (March 11) but gasoline prices will increase slightly.
The country’s oil firms said in separate advisories on Monday they would implement a rollback of P0.40 per liter for kerosene and P0.20 per liter for diesel. At the same time, gasoline prices will increase by P0.10 per liter. Petron is implementing this week’s adjustments from 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday (March 11) while Shell is doing so from 6 a.m. Tuesday (March 11) onwards.
Independent oil player Phoenix Petroleum said it will implement a rollback of P0.20 per liter for diesel and an increase of P0.10 per liter for gasoline starting 6 a.m. on March 11.
Other oil firms have not made official announcements but are expected to do so. Fuel products retailing in the Philippines are mostly imported. Oil firms thus tend to track each others prices.
