World-famous Cebu has been put under the limelight more times than it can count.
After all, the Queen City of the South, a leading business, cultural and even a social hub, boasts traditional goods as dried mangoes, lechon, danggit and beaches, and home-grown distinguished personalities, such as the world-renowned topnotch furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue and New York fashion designer Monique Lhuillier.
Over the past decade, the bustling trade and economy of Cebu has since encouraged local entrepreneurs and attracted multinationals to set up shop in the province. It has, as well, put it on the radars of some of the biggest property developers in the country.
Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) is one of those developers that believe in the vibrancy of this market, following the success of its three real estate projects in Cebu. And now, a fourth residential project is on its way.
RLC, through its urban lifestyle brand Robinsons Residences, recently launched its latest project in Cebu City called Azalea Place.
As the first residential condominium to rise on busy Gorordo Avenue in Lahug, Cebu City, the 25-story development is an ideal option for young Cebuano families looking for a comfortable home as well as real estate investors in search of prime properties with high-growth potential.
“RLC’s growing number of residential projects in Cebu reflects the growth in the province and the region. Our company is very bullish about this promising segment,” RLC president and COO Frederick D. Go said.
Ideal home
“Azalea Place is the only residential condominium on bustling Gorordo Avenue, making it an ideal home for a market that wants everything within easy reach,” Go said.
The steady volume of pedestrian and automotive traffic affords the location a high business value and a large pool of possible unit renters, especially since the planned condo development will be built between Asiatown IT Park and Cebu Business Park—a convenient location for local professionals and expatriates who work in the area.
Another plus is the fact that the Azalea Place will be built right across the University of the Philippines Cebu campus, thus making it an ideal place for students as well.
The single tower Azalea Place is expected to stand out with its modern Asian design, concrete façade and tall glass windows. With retail outlets on the ground floor, proximity to shopping malls and a variety of restaurants in the nearby city center, residents will not have to venture far for their needs and wants.
Unit owners will meanwhile have access to several lifestyle options right inside the building, including a game room, a library/Wi-Fi lounge, fitness center, swimming pool, spa pool, a Japanese-inspired gazebo and reading nooks.
Each unit will also have an intercom connected to the reception counter, automatic smoke detectors, fire alarm and sprinkler system, cable TV line, telephone line, ample ventilation, hot water supply line and an available electrical load provision of 20 amp for a two-burner electric cook top.
According to RLC, these facilities and fully integrated convenience features are designed to make residents feel right at home.
407 units
The construction of the Azalea Place will start by 2012 and units are expected to be turned over to buyers within the second quarter of 2015. Robinsons Residences will be offering a total of 407 units in Azalea Place—studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.
The studio units have a floor area of about 25 square meters and will sell for P2.03 million to P2.52 million. The one-bedroom units ranging from 29.75 to 38.5 sq m in size will cost from P2.42 to P3.76 million while the two-bedroom units will be sold for P3.63 to P5.36 million with sizes ranging from 43.5 to 56.75 sq m.
RLC said it can offer affordable payment schemes that would allow a buyer to acquire a studio unit for as low as P10,000 a month.
