Landbank named Best Performing GSED for 2013

The Land Bank of the Philippines (Landbank) has been named overall Best Performing Government Securities Eligible Dealers (GSED) for 2013.

Finance Secretary Cesar V. Purisima led the Bureau of the Treasury’s conferment of the award to Landbank in ceremonies held recently.

The award recognizes the contributions of securities dealers in capital development and to the money market through involvement in the primary and secondary market of treasury bills and treasury bonds. Also a criterion for the best performing GSED award is significant market share or volume turnover for both primary and secondary markets.

Also recognized among the top 10 GSEDs were HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Metrobank First Metro Investments Corporation, BPI, BDO, Security Bank, Citibank, PNB and DBP.

Also present during the ceremony were Landbak Asset and Liability Management Group First Vice President Christopher Y. Salazar, Treasury and Investment Banking Sector Executive Vice President Rabboni Francis B. Arjonillo, Deputy Treasurer of the Philippines Ma. Sharon P. Almanza, and Landbank Treasury Group First Vice President Carel D. Halog.
