Fifteen micro, small, and medium manufacturers from the National Capital Region and one from Cavite who have participated in one-hour design consultations and trends briefings with the Design Center of the Philippines have their products featured in an ongoing exhibition entitled Designers’ Monday.

Designers’ Monday was started in July 2008, in the hope of creating design awareness among would-be and new entrepreneurs and in line with the Department of Trade and Industry’s efforts to create livelihood opportunities for the country’s displaced workers affected by the global economic crisis.

The program, consisting of one-hour each of trends briefing and one-on-one consultations with DCP designers was rendered to its participants free of charge. Since 2008, more than 1,500 participants consisting of hobbyists, would-be entrepreneurs and manufacturers from micro, small and medium enterprises have taken part in the program. The program continues to this day, with sessions held in requested areas out of Metro Manila.
