Globe claims lead in broadband

Globe Telecom, a unit of Ayala Corp., said it leads the domestic broadband industry in terms of revenue growth.

Globe said in a statement that broadband revenues jumped 22 percent to P7.8 billion as of September, as its broadband brand Tattoo saw subscribers increase 15 percent to 1.9 million users.

It said so-called wired and wireless subscribers grew 17 percent and 14 percent, respectively.

The company credited gains to its acquisitions campaigns, competitive pricing offers and product bundles.

“This positive response and sustained growth was a product of the company’s continued push to expand its product portfolio and its awareness of the customers’ evolving and increasing demands,” Globe said in the statement.

Its products include the Tattoo Prepaid 4G SuperStick at P1995 alongside Tattoo Postpaid’s consumable plans Miguel R. Camus
