New attractions in World Bazaar

The 13TH World Bazaar Festival, the country’s biggest holiday trade fair for a good cause that runs until Dec. 22 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, offers loyal bazaar and new shoppers alike with new attractions, including exhibitors, pocket events and an overall theme that harks back to the glamorous 20s.

“The roaring 20s was an era of hope, highlighted by economic upturn in many regions. People felt good about themselves and were sophisticated and empowered,” says JR Ang, marketing director of leading events organizer Worldbex Services International.

“And as our country moves toward a similar direction, we want Filipino shoppers to experience the same by bringing glamour in the event and offering new products at affordable prices and for a good cause,” he says.

Entering the World Bazaar Festival, one is transported to the 20s with displays and signage reflecting the era’s flashy designs, including geometric and angular shapes with gold, red, and chrome glass and shiny fabrics.

Add this to a growing list of diverse exhibitors carrying top and emerging brands across industries—fashion, toys, food, art—and they create the biggest bazaar-for-a-cause to date.

“We definitely have something for everyone. Our newest collaborations combined with old ties ensure that nobody goes home from the World Bazaar Festival empty-handed,” says Ang.

Ang says the highlights of the 13th World Bazaar include “Bloggers United,” which features top entrepreneur-bloggers such as David Guison, Camille Co, Laureen Uy, Kryz Uy, and Dani Barretto for their best fashion finds for less.

There’s also the “Treat for Tots”, a special area for children with over 150 participating booths that include Toys R Us, Cordlife, Philips, Avent, Aprica, Fun Ranch, and Mommy Mundo.

Stars sell their products and personal items at the “Celebrity Pavilion”, while major retailers and brands like Rustan’s, CMG Group, Maldita, Adidas, Figlia, Robinson’s Appliances, and RayBan lead the “Designer’s Avenue” lineup.

Other attractions “Woobie’s Food World” and “Woobie’s Goodies,” named after the festival’s famous mascot, offers organic, gourmet and homemade specialties. They cater to those who need food and pastries as Christmas giveaways. Food World, on the other hand, is a Banchetto-style market serving freshly made meals for individuals and families.

“Woobie’s Kid Idol” and “Woobie’s Street Dance Competition” provide delightful entertainment to shoppers.

Shoppers at the World Bazaar Festival will not only help the economy grow, but also benefit the less privileged as proceeds from the festival goes to ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc.

“Shoppers should come up with their Christmas gift list early and visit the World Bazaar prepared to get something for their friends and families,” says Ang.
