Property developer Robinsons Land Corp. has expanded its partnership with the Roxas group with a commitment to jointly build at least five new budget hotels under the Go Hotel chain in the next two years.
In a press statement Tuesday, RLC said it was expanding the Go Hotel brand through franchisee Vanguard Hotels Pte. Ltd. and the latter’s joint venture with Roxaco Land Corp., the property development arm of Roxas and Co. Inc.
RLC president Frederick Go said this partnership would build the minimum of five Go Hotels in key strategic locations.
The first Go Hotel in the Philippines, the newest venture of RLC’s hotels division, was launched in 2010.
The first of its kind in the Philippines, the Go Hotels chain aims to “redefine the hotel industry with the introduction of the value hotel concept, in the same way that its affiliates Cebu Pacific and Sun Cellular have changed the Philippine airline and telecommunications industry, respectively.”
There are now six operational Go Hotels branches offering a total of more than 700 rooms located in the following: Mandaluyong (Metro Manila), Tacloban, Dumaguete, Bacolod, Puerto Princesa and Otis-Manila (Metro Manila).
“Go Hotels is ramping up its expansion program as plans are underway for Robinsons Land to expand the brand all over the Philippines to respond to the national demand for quality accommodations at better prices,” the company said.
