MANILA, Philippines—Property Company of Friends, Inc. or PRO-FRIENDS, in celebration of its countdown to its 15th year in the real-estate industry in 2014, launched exciting programs to benefit Filipino families. One of the projects in anticipation of the company’s anniversary is a video essay contest dubbed as “PRO-FRIENDS Ka Rin Ba?”
“We want to give our buyers and the general public the opportunity to do what we love doing—transforming lives. In “PRO-FRIENDS Ka Rin Ba,” we want people to be part of us, to be a pro-friend, and in the process change the life and family of a deserving individual,” said Richard Tay, Vice President for Sales and Marketing.

In February this year, PRO-FRIENDS launched a contest aimed to give individuals a chance to nominate a friend or a relative, and make one-minute to one-minute-and-a-half video on why they deserve a PRO-FRIENDS home. The winner would win a Sophie house model from PRO-FRIENDS, tax-free.

Sophie is a 52 sqm single-attached house on an 80 sqm lot area. It has three bedrooms, two toilets and baths, a living room, dining area, kitchen, linear park, and a provision for one-car garage.
“Expectations were exceeded. We are very happy with how far this campaign reached. We have 19 entries and the winner was awarded based on story value.”

According to Tay, people were nominated because they inspire someone and touch other people’s lives. Judged by PRO-FRIENDS executives, the winner embodied the values and culture of the company.

Marlon Mariano, an Overseas Filipino Worker, who was nominated by his sister, Marjorie Gasmen, won the contest. The surprise was announced to his father Anastacio Mariano who was in tears to hear the good news. The family was given a tour of the Lancaster New City in Imus, Cavite, the flagship project of PRO-FRIENDS.

Lancaster New City has various amenities including the Leighton Hall Clubhouse for parties and corporate events, Church of the Holy family for worship services, the Lancaster Square with supermarket, salon boutique and many others.

Lancaster also has the St. Edward Integrated School to make schooling accessible for residents.
