Ninety-nine-year-old Manila Hotel proves it’s never too late to get updated with the latest Web design trends.
Using subtle earth tones on a design concept akin to an intricate fretwork (an interlaced decorative design), the new website – www.manila-hotel.com.ph –allows users to experience faster browsing, convenience of booking and checking accommodation details of available rooms while at the same time make guest browsers feel nostalgic and connected with the past.
“Our main goal in re-launching our website is to further enhance our connection with our clients. With the improved interface and up to date information, they can now have a feel of the five-star experience they will get when they stay in Manila Hotel,” explains Manila Hotel AVP for PR and Corporate Communications Nian Liwanag-Rigor.
With just a few mouse clicks, a guest would be able to get instant access to what is currently happening at the hotel from special packages and promotions to exciting events and feature stories.
There are shortcuts to the hotel’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Transformations
Aside from the regularly updated information, the website also provides a comprehensive guide on interesting attractions and landmarks in the Metro and nearby areas.
Rigor informs that in the Photo Gallery, online guests may now be able to view the hotel’s newly renovated areas and facilities. The Archives section on the other hand, provides a brief history of Manila Hotel since its inception in 1912.
It also includes a timeline of monumental events complemented with rare post-war photos of the hotel.
“While maintaining the elegance of the past, Manila Hotel will continue to evolve and strives to outdo what it has already accomplished. To date, Manila Hotel is a national landmark that remains to be an active and affectionate witness to Philippine history,” says Rigor.
