MANILA, Philippines – KFC Philippines on Thursday donated P1 million to fund the on-going relief efforts in “Yolanda”- battered areas through the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).

KFC is also encouraging the public to donate to the typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan) recovery efforts in kind at selected KFC branches in Metro Manila. Also, customers can donate through canisters found at KFC counters. In addition, KFC has pledged to donate P5 from every 8-piece bucket meal purchased to aid the rebuilding of affected areas in Visayas.

“We at KFC have mobilized efforts to aid our employees’ families in areas affected by Typhoon Yolanda.  In the same way, we would like to offer our branches as collection points for donations and pledge a part of our profits in our Bucket Meal to make it easy for our customers to help our bigger ‘family’ of  Filipinos in typhoon-stricken communities,” said KFC Philippines General Manager Liza Leah Calma-Juinio.
