MANILA, Philippines—The Bureau of Internal Revenue has filed new tax evasion charges against one security agency and several individuals for various violations of the Tax Code.
In a statement, the BIR said it had filed a criminal complaint against Red Fox Security Inc. and its top corporate officers, president Felipe J. Pacleb and treasurer Pedro T. Cezar, for three counts of “willful attempt to evade or defeat the payment of income tax and the deliberate failure to supply correct and accurate information” for the years 2008 to 2010.
Red Fox is a corporation primarily engaged in providing security to juridical persons, offices, industrial, commercial and other establishments, with registered address at No. 43-F HR Building, Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City.
An informer who had personal knowledge of the company tipped off the BIR about Red Fox’s operations.
In the course of its tax-mapping operations, the BIR found unregistered provisional and official receipts, as well as deposit slips that showed the Air Materiel Wings Savings and Loan Association Inc. was one of the company’s major clients.
