Property developer Century Properties Group Inc. said its first shopping mall project—Century City Mall in Kalayaan Avenue, Makati—was on track with its targeted opening by the fourth quarter of this year.
CPG said the mall, located in the 3.4-hectare mixed-use Century City, would be the newest stand-alone retail center to open in Makati in six years.
The five-story mall has a gross floor area of 49,143 square meters, with 17,000 square meters of net leasable space for some 110 retail outlets. Three basement floors were allotted for visitors’ parking.
Ahead of the completion of the new mall, CPG co-chief operating officer and managing director Marco Antonio said demand for retail space in Century City Mall had exceeded expectations.
“We are very excited to open Century City Mall because of its mix of brands, high-end cinemas, dining options and concept stores. It will be open to the public, and will also serve as the neighborhood lifestyle and retail center for Century City residents, tenants and guests,” Antonio said.
“We expect to generate high foot traffic at Century City Mall because of its exciting mix of retail tenants that will complement what is presently available in other malls within Makati. In the process, this world-class retail development will also contribute to the enhancement of northern Makati’s landscape, realizing our vision for a truly Modern Makati,” he added.
The Century City development also includes the luxury residential towers Gramercy Residences, Knightsbridge Residences, the Versace Home-interior designed Milano Residences, Trump Tower at Century City and the outpatient medical building called Centuria Medical Makati, which was designed in partnership with GE Healthcare.
Aside from Century City, CPG has 27 years of experience in the business of real estate development, marketing and property management. Doris C. Dumlao
