Avaya unveils latest innovation

Avaya, a major player in business communications and collaborative systems, recently unveiled its latest innovation: the Avaya Vena Fabric Connect.

This solution “enables businesses to build cloud-grade infrastructure that is extensive from data center to campus and beyond end-to-end network virtualization,” according to Randy Cross, Avaya director for infrastructure and fabric technologies.

Designed for next generation networking, Fabric Connect is a flexible solution that can be tailored to fit current business needs while providing a smooth migration path that accommodates natural or dramatic evolution.

“Fabric Connect creates a self-aware infrastructure that simplifies the logical provisioning of network services and provides the components required to create a cost-efficient network-wide solution that features active connectivity and service-oriented networking from top-of-rank to core,” Cross said.

“This product empowers seamless virtual machine (VM) mobility across the room, the city, the country or even the world,” he added.

By creating one contiguous end-to-end fabric, Avaya empowers businesses to achieve unprecedented levels of infrastructure productivity, service agility and network dependability resulting in savings in capital and operational expenses.

Avaya is the worldwide leader in Unified Communications (UC), telephony systems, and SME Technology systems.

According to Avaya, businesses that use its UC solutions have shown savings of up to 23 percent in their capital expenditures; a 33-percent  cut in operational expenses and 44 percent fewer personnel to monitor and manage their systems.
