Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. is seeking bidders for $7.1 million worth of imported steaming coal and P408.5 million in local blended coal to supply the requirements of National Power Corp. plants in the second half.

In separate bidding invitations published on Friday, PSALM’s bids and awards committee sought coal suppliers for 48,000 metric tons (MT) of steaming coal with an approved budget of $7.1 million and 66,000 MT of local blended coal at a ceiling price of P408.5 million.

Interested bidders should have completed similar deliveries of coal supply worth at least 25 percent of the approved budget for the contracts within the past five years.
