Neda board approves CSC modernization project

Gov't to implement stronger measures to ensure food security

MANILA, Philippines — The National Economic and Development (Neda) Board on Thursday said it approved the P3.8-billion civil service modernization project under the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

According to Neda Sec. Aresnio Balisacan, the project is a vital initiative for the development of human resource management processes in the public sector.

“Ang purpose ng project na ito is to improve the efficiency of our civil service, lalo na doon sa human resource management ng mga government personnel natin,” said Balisacan in a Malacañang Insider episode.

Balisacan also said that the project aims to streamline the management of CSC funds, which would in turn result in faster service delivery.

“Part of that project is to get that connection and so that funds can be handled properly and, you know, services are provided on time,” he said.

Neda said in a statement that the project was approved during a board meeting in Malacañang on Wednesday.

The project is then set to be implemented from 2025 to 2029.
