It’s poised to become the newest playground of the metro.

Rising within the burgeoning Global South township in Las Piñas City is a world-class integrated leisure and entertainment destination that promises to elevate standards of urban recreation.

This up and coming destination—being developed by Vertex Entertainment and Resorts Corp., a subsidiary of the Villar Group’s Prime Asset Ventures, Inc. (PAVI)—will be an impressive showcase of Philippine tourism and hospitality owing to its extensive array of offerings.

The convention center, previously The Tent, will meanwhile provide a state-of-the-art venue for business events, conferences, and social gatherings, making it an ideal location for both corporate and personal functions, whereas the proposed arena can host a variety of entertainment events, from concerts and sports competitions to cultural shows and exhibitions.

Phased developments

To ensure a more seamless build-out, Vertex Entertainment has structured its developments in stages. Each phase will  unveil new attractions and amenities, aimed at enhancing the overall experience for guests over time.

The first phase will transform the former Vista Mall into a casino and a new hotel, complementing the existing Mella Hotel, which features 70 spacious rooms. It will also see the reintroduction of the convention center, formerly called The Tent. Vertex Entertainment targets to complete the first phase of development by 2025.

The succeeding phases will meanwhile see the construction of more hotels, facilities, shops, and attractions providing a holistic blend of leisure, entertainment, and shopping.

Economic driver

This phased approach will ensure a steady influx of investment and economic activity over time. Each phase will introduce new elements that attract different visitor segments and keep the destination vibrant and evolving. This continuous development will keep the area dynamic and appealing to both locals and tourists.

Indeed, beyond establishing a new destination highly accessible via the C5 Extension Road, this complex will also, more importantly, stimulate the local economy and generate thousands of jobs, directly and indirectly, providing significant benefits to the city.

It will also support other related industries, boosting local businesses not only in Las Piñas City but also within the expansive Villar City, touted as the new center of gravity of Metro Manila where new, dynamic and self-sustaining urban districts are set to rise.

No doubt, this integrated leisure and entertainment complex will truly elevate standards in urban recreation while contributing to the growth of Philippine tourism and hospitality as well as the local economy.
