BORACAY ISLAND, Philippines?Management company Hotel Systems Asia Inc. (HSAI)-Raintree is expanding its portfolio to include three resorts in Aurora and Davao provinces.

HSAI-Raintree president Annabella Wisniewski said here that two resorts would open in Baler town in Aurora province.

Both will be bankrolled by the family of Senator Edgardo Angara.

A high-end resort will be built on a 100-hectare property of the Angara family at Dicasalarin Beach. It is adjacent to the 10-hectare Artists? Village that Angara plans to donate to Filipino artists.

The other resort with 88 rooms will be located on a three-hectare property along Sabang Beach in Baler, which offers a 150-meter beachfront.

Both resorts, designed by architect Ed Calma, will use indigenous materials from Aurora province and are expected to open in 2012.

HSAI-Raintree will also manage a high-end resort in a six-hectare property on Samal Island in Davao, set to open early 2014.

She said the new projects bode well for the country?s tourism industry.
