MANILA, Philippines -- Money supply in March rose 9.6 percent from a year earlier, after a growth of 6.6 percent in February, the central bank said on Friday.

March was the seventh straight month that annual domestic liquidity growth came in below 14 percent, the maximum the central bank has recently said it would prefer.

The money supply data is one of several indicators the central bank will review when it holds its rate-setting meeting on June 5.
