Direct Link offers free Acts of God cover

IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE DEvastation caused by typhoons “Ondoy” and “Pepeng,” Direct Link Insurance, the pioneer in transacting car insurance via the telephone, is offering a free Acts of God coverage for those who will secure their comprehensive car insurance from October 26 to November 7. The Acts of God or AOG coverage is an optional coverage that costs about 0.5 to 0.7 percent of the vehicle’s market value or P2,500 to P3,500 in premium for a car worth P500,000 which is not really a big amount to shell out considering that getting a flood-submerged car fixed can cost you a hefty sum. One insurance company reported that a week after Ondoy, they received inquiries from 300 vehicle owners with AOG coverage and that holders of such polices are expected to receive P200,000 per vehicle. Direct Link Comprehensive Car Insurance comes with free LTO registration assistance, free 24/7 roadside assistance and is payable in six easy installments. A member of giant conglomerate UCPB Group, Direct Link has as of today over 10,000 satisfied customers. For details and reservations, they may be reached via 813-5465 (813-LINK).

Foton trucks to the rescue of ‘Ondoy’ flood victims

FOTON Motor Philippines (FMP) displayed its social responsibility by sending out relief goods for victims of the recent typhoons using Foton service trucks. FMP President Mr. Rommel L. Sytin and his son Tim mobilized a team that plied the streets of Marikina, Pasig, and Cainta using Foton 4x4, and 6-wheeler dump trucks. With its high ground clearance, big wheels, and high carrying capacity, the vehicles efficiently went in and out the affected areas providing tons of relief goods and other necessities to the victims of Ondoy’s wrath.
