MANILA, Philippines -- Leading milk manufacturer Alaska Milk Corp. (AMC) expanded its second quarter net profit by 25 percent year-on-year to P532 million on a combination of higher sales and subdued input costs.
This brought net income for the first half of the year to P1.06 billion, 70 percent higher than a year ago, AMC disclosed to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
Net sales grew by 6 percent in the second quarter to hit P2.69 billion on robust growth rates across core liquid and powdered milk products.
