MARIKINA celebrates CYBER BOOST 2010

A ?Cyber awareness and I.T. Confidence Trade Fair, dubbed as the very first Marikina Cyber Festival is a city-wide event that aims to enhance the awareness of Filipinos about information technology and related issues, economic strategies to maximize its positive effects, and other relevant activities that all contrive towards increasing computer literacy and appreciation which will be staged on MARCH 12-13, 2010 at SM City Marikina Cyberzone. This event will be well-attended by everybody from all walks of life most especially I.T. Enthusiasts, the cyber-savvy and anyone who wants to learn and witness the power each one may have by being knowledgeable about information technology. This event is just one of the programmed activities for the year by the Internet Cafe Association of Marikina headed by Ms. Risa P. Cruz, the two-term President of the Association and proud owner of HOBBIES ON LINE, with the spear-heading of Mr. Christopher Llabres as the Chairman of the CYBERBOOST 2009 together with Spice Interactive Events as co-organizer. The project will convene more than 4,000 attendees particularly the more than 400 internet cafe owners in Marikina City, high-school and college students, on-line gamers, teachers, parents, over-clockers, pc modders, digital photographers including the public & business sectors to enjoy a fun-filled day of learning, upgrading and realization of vital business opportunities as well as participation in exciting games and contests.

Angela Herrera of Spice Interactive Events said ?There will be a CYBERBOOST CARAVAN on MARCH 6, 2010 around Marikina city via a pre-planned route of a grouped motorcade around the key communities of Marikina to encourage attendees of the event. There will be an exciting array of exhibitors for the delight of attendees offering the latest products, trends and updates, gadgets and tips to the attendees. TipidPc is also one of our partners who will highlight this event with the active participation of their members like United Modders Philippines, The Rig Noobies, National Lan Shop Owners, Team Nikon Bullies and their core group members who will contribute their talents and skills during the event?s interactive activities and seminars. To give way to the artistic and the creative, there will be a COSPLAY Ramp, MURAL contests and ESSAY writing for students of Marikina City. Parents and teachers are also invited to attend the FREE trainings and seminars to gain basic know-how and advancement. We want to start the wave of CYBER and I.T. enthusiasm in this admirable city, hence the birth of the CYBER BOOST theme which we are looking forward to celebrate yearly.?
