MANILA, Philippines -- Asia Warranty Services (AWS) has agreed to provide extended warranties on digital electronic products being sold and marketed by Camera Sound Inc. under the brands of Canon, Sony, Kodak, Pentax, Casio, Nikon and Olympus.
The extended warranty, which is for an additional year over the normal manufacturer?s warranty, provides for greater and longer-lasting product service support that protects the consumer from having to pay unexpected and often expensive repair costs for a longer period.
Camera Sound, which started its operation in the country in 1995, oversees a wide dealership network that sells photographic cameras, digital cameras and accessories, multimedia products, studio products, as well as video cameras and equipment.
In 2005, Camera Sound started supplying its products to SM malls, and is now supplying to branches in Pampanga, Clark, Cebu, Mandurriao, Delgado, Sta. Rosa, Lipa, Davao, Cagayan de Oro and Bacolod.
The Camera Sound Store Warranty Card which includes the extended service guarantee is issued with the brand new digital equipment at the time of purchase. The following products now have 2 Years Extended Warranty: Canon 450D, Canon 40D, Nikon D40 Kit, Nikon D60 Kit with VR Lens, Nikon D80 kit, Nikon D80 body, Nikon D300 nody, Nikon D700 Body and the Canon EOS 1000D.
The agreement was recently signed between Camera Sound president Jeffrey Ong, Federal Phoenix Assurance Co. Inc president Ramon Dimacali, Asia Warranty Services Managing Director Nasser Watar and witnessed by Brian L. D?Souza (FPACI), Sharon Camesa-Sim (AWS) and Nicholson Ong (CSI) .
