Oak Brook, Ill (July 11, 2008) – McDonald’s invites you to mash-up the Big Mac chant, remix your own creative and cool masterpiece and upload your submission to MySpace.com/BigMacChant. A panel of celebrity judges will be selecting five finalists for online voting beginning on July 16, 2008. The winning piece may be featured in a McDonald’s Big Mac TV commercial that may air later this summer.*

McDonald’s Big Mac Chant-Off is more than a challenge. It sets off a virtual stage and offers individuals and amateurs a “golden” opportunity to let their music talent shine, express themselves and share their love of music and passion. For a brief period of time, the official Chant-Off website, MySpace.com/BigMacChant has attracted more than 4,900 friends (participants) and has received over 160,000 plays for the featured tracks and submissions.

Entries for the Big Mac Chant-Off closed on July 6, 2008. Submissions are being reviewed by a panel of judges to narrow the submissions up to five finalists. The “Judging Panel” of the Big Mac Chant-Off will consist of five notable artists and top executives of influential record companies in their music genres. They are Keith D’Arcy, HUM, Jake Ottmann, Far*East Movement (FM) and a surprise celebrity (to be announced).

One of the celebrity judges is Far*East Movement (FM), an influential hip-hop group in the rising Asian American music scene. FM is well known and loved for their energetic live performances.

“We are thrilled to have this opportunity to share our music and be invited by McDonald’s. We are excited to participate in this program." said Kev Nish of Far*East Movement.

Online voting among participants (MySpace users) opens on July 16, 2008.
