Volvo Service 2.0 offers a different dimension to car and customer care

VOLVO Service 2.0 puts emphasis on customer service rather than car service.

As Volvo Philippines celebrates its 18th year, the Swedish car brand is beefing up its aftersales offerings that will make any qualified Volvo model smarter as well as more convenient to own.

“The company has always strived to deliver the best customer service possible and make sure that every Volvo owner’s satisfaction is extended after he or she purchases the unit. With Volvo Service 2.0, we want our Volvo owners to get the most out of their vehicles,” said Viking Cars Inc. first executive vice president Roselyn Dimalanta.

Volvo Service 2.0, which puts emphasis on customer service rather than car service, is the collective term for all of Volvo customer service offerings and represents a new approach based on customer needs.

Free software update

“This direction further reinforces Volvo Philippines’ commitment to deliver the best service that Volvo clients deserve. It includes a lot more than you can usually expect from a workshop like free software updates and even a dedicated contact person,” explained Viking Cars Inc. marketing services division AVP Loi de Guzman.

“Foremost among these offerings include a free software update which will now be part of the routine Volvo scheduled service. Considering that a large part of today’s car’s operation are governed by computers, an update would indeed contribute so much in performance, efficiency and emissions. This means that your Volvo’s computer systems (which are unique to every vehicle model) will always have the latest version to ensure the best performance,” De Guzman shared.

POLESTAR optimizes your Volvo’s power and torque, making it more lively and more fun to drive.

The said update applies to all Volvo models from year 1999, except for the S40s and V40s older than 2004, S70s and V70s older than 2000 and C70s older than 2006.

The free software update should not be confused with the Polestar software update. Available for just P50,000, the Polestar package is well suited to those performance-oriented owners who require enhanced power and driving feel from their already exceptional Volvos.

Alternative transport

And while your Volvo unit is being serviced, Volvo Philippines will also offer “Mobility Solution” as part of the Volvo Service 2.0. “This package offers alternative transport solutions for the owner or driver when it’s time to bring the Volvo for service and they have to be some place else,” Dimalanta promised.

As part of the Volvo Service 2.0, she added that a “Health Check” will be included in the service. The health check will focus on safety features including battery charge status.

ALWAYS watch out for this tiny sky-blue badge discreetly affixed near the right side of the trunk lid.

As part of Volvo Service 2.0 (although already offered for years already), Dimalanta shared that every Volvo that comes out of the service bay is already cleaned. “Considering we already updated and checked your Volvo, we might as well clean it free of charge as part of our service,” she said.

Another unique feature of the Volvo Service 2.0 is the Personal Service Contact person, who will be assigned and be on call regularly should the Volvo owner has an inquiry or encounter problems while driving anywhere in the country.

“This particular offer is aimed to make Volvo car ownership experience a delight. Since Volvo’s aim is to always take care of the owner’s wants and need, the dedication to them extends beyond their purchase,” Dimalanta said.

De Guzman shared another interesting offer: “Say that you are about to go out of the house or office. As you proceed to your Volvo, you could now start your car remotely so that by the time you open the door, the Volvo’s cabin temperature is already set to the desired temperature.”

Indeed, the Remote Start feature is an ideal way to cool down your Volvo before leaving your home or office. With this convenient dealer-installed accessory, you can quickly and easily use your Personal Car Communicator remote to start the engine and begin cooling the cabin.

The Volvo will cool the cabin to the same temperature settings as when it was parked. The system will run for up to 15 minutes, making for a comfortable environment from the moment you enter the car on a hot and humid afternoon.

The Volvo Engine Remote Start is available on the following models: 2013 Volvo S60 T5; 2012-2013 Volvo S60 T6 (chassis number 076075 and higher); 2012-2013 Volvo S80; 2012-2013 Volvo XC60; 2012-2013 Volvo XC70 (a P25,000 for 2013 models or P30,000 for 2012 models will be charged).

Indeed, the Volvo Service 2.0 represents a new approach based on customer needs. “It also shows our Volvo workshops’ attention to detail and how our facilities are at the cutting edge technologically,” Dimalanta said.
