MANILA, Philippines—Israel and the European Union (EU) are looking to increase their investments in the Philippines given the positive global outlook on the country’s economy, according to Vice President Jejomar Binay.

Reporting on his visits to Israel and Europe in the last two weeks, Binay said government and business leaders he met with “expressed their admiration for the country’s impressive economic growth and are eager to expand development assistance and investments.”

Binay said Israel will send a trade mission to the Philippines early next year to pursue business partnerships, after the Vice President met with the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce to share “ideas on how best to promote improved trade and economic relations.”

“As a result of that meeting, a large Israeli trade mission will be coming to Manila early next year to formalize contacts with potential partners,” he said.

Binay was in Israel on October 23-28. He met with Israeli President Shimon Peres and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.

He said the two officials “expressed high praise and high hopes for the Philippines, in light of its recent economic performance and its big domestic market based on its young, dynamic and educated population.”

Before flying to Israel, Binay was in Brussels, Belgium, where he met with officials and business leaders of the European Union on the sidelines of the European Development Days held on October 16-17.

  • regd

      • junsepara

Tingnan mo rin ang sarili mo kung pinoy ka o may lahi kang tsikwa, ako wala, at mabubuhay rin tayo kahit wala yang tsekwa, dating mahirap din ang bansa nila, kumunista, he,he,he, besiklita ang sasakyan he,he,he, at nagpunta yan sa pinas dahil sa kahirapan ng bansa nila, he,he,he, ang mga israel, tumulong tayo dyan, tanga mo, he,he,he, sa boto natin nalikha ang bansa nila, at noong panahon ng giyera  mahigit 10,000 jews ang nagpunta ng pinas, para lumikas, do mo alam yon kasi tanga ka nga, he,he,he, kaya lamunin mo pagkatsekwa mo mabubuhay tayo kahit wala ang tsekwa mo, ugok mo talaga, he,he,he,he,

      • junsepara

At isipin mo rin kung hindi tayo sinakop ng mga kastilaloy ano mangyayari sa atin, muslim??? he,he,he, bansa na tayo ng terorista, wala pa mga utak, he,he,he, limang beses magdadasal, kakain, at mga sex maniac kasi wala tayo gagawin kundi humindot at maghurumintado, he,he,he at pagpatay ka na nasa heaven ka pa rin humihindot kasi may nakaabang sayo mga virgin babae, kaya  nasa ibang bansa mga pinoy hindi nagtratrabaho kundi nagpapasabog, iyon ang magiging papel natin sa mundo, he,he,he, kaya pasalamat ka at nakita tayo ng mga kastilaloy at naging kristiayano ako, at kung naging tsekwa naman tayo, katulad mo wala rin utak, kasi puro ikis ang sulat natin, ngayon lang naman yang mga tsekwa sumikat, noon, taghirap din sila, mas mayaman pa tayo noon, kaya nagsipunta dito yang mga tsekwang yan hindi para magnegosyo kundi para tumakas sa kahirapan nila, at tungkol sa pangungurakot wag mo sisihin ang ibang lahi, sisihin mo pinoy! heheheh!

      • junsepara

hehehehee, at dapat lang kutongan yang mga sinasabi mong tsekwa, hapon at koriano! nasa bansa natin sila, ano gusto mo libre, ugog mo talaga, hehehehe

  • dequis

  • rickysgreyes

VP BInay, Let us pursue long-term investments rather than ‘hot money’ from these foreign businessmen. Why not focus on getting the Europeans to invest in tourism related establishments in promising areas like Cam Sur, Palawan, Ilocos, etc. Boracay is very successful these days due to the Europen businessmen, who put up these small hotels in the 90s.

    • sanjuan683

Its election time again bulok is coming to town again.

    • sanjuan683

Korek diyan bossing. Its election time again bulok is coming to town. heheheheheh
