MANILA, Philippines—Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz on Thursday reminded employers to strictly adhere to holiday pay rules and core labor standards for their workers for Eid al-Adha on October 26, the All Saints’ weekend on November 1 and 2, and Bonifacio Day on November 30.

October 26 and November 30 will be covered by pay rules for regular holidays; and November 1 and 2 by rules for special nonworking days.

Malacañang has declared Oct. 26 a regular holiday throughout the nation in observance of Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice, one of the two greatest feasts of Islam.—Tina G. Santos
