LTO, MMDA heads to chat with media at first Usapan AAP

Land Transportation Office (LTO) Assistant Secretary Virginia Torres and Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Francis Tolentino recently confirmed their participation in the first Usapan AAP of the Automobile Association Philippines on Friday, September 28.

To be emceed by Cito Beltran, Usapan AAP will be the first of a series of informal roundtable talks organized by AAP with government and private sector personalities who are involved in making motoring safe, sustainable and efficient for all road users.

It will be a congenial interaction with selected motoring journalists and business media in the interest of promoting road safety, which is the primary advocacy of AAP.

Usapan AAP will be held in the lobby of the AAP main office at 28 Edsa, Greenhills, San Juan City, at 10:30 a.m. Brunch will be served and copies of AQ, AAP’s quarterly full-color magazine, will be distributed.

Founded in 1931 as the Philippine Motor Association, the Automobile Association Philippines is a non-stock, non-profit private organization upholding the interests of the motoring public with road safety as the primary objective.

As the National Auto Club, AAP issues the Philippine international driving permit, provides free emergency roadside service, discounts on insurance, tires, batteries and other motoring-related products and services to members.

AAP, as the only Philippine affiliate of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), sanctions and supervises all four-wheel motor sport events in the country.

The association also promotes sustainable tourism and will soon open the AAP Travel Inc.
