Hong Kong shares up 0.53% at open

Hong Kong–Hong Kong stocks rose 0.53 percent in the first few minutes of trade on Friday, mirroring gains on Wall Street and in Europe.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index was up 104.89 points at 20,067.84 soon after the opening, spurred by solid US economic indicators and strong comments by German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the euro.
