Condo hunt: Developer provides students place to ‘live-work-play-learn’

By

NEWPORT City residential developments provide convenient access to top schools in the metro including Asia Pacific College, Don Bosco, Colegio de San Agustin and Assumption College.

With barely a month to go before the new school year starts, some parents may still be planning to make some “last minute” shopping for their kids’ second home.

This week, Inquirer Property is featuring residential developments from Megaworld Corp. to give parents more choices in their quest for an apartment or condominium unit that is safe, secure and conducive to learning.

Megaworld is the real estate arm of self-made tycoon Andrew Tan’s conglomerate that now spans across various businesses that include food, beverage, quick service, tourism and gaming. The company has since delivered property projects that cater to the specific needs of buyers across class segments, allowing it to earn the title of being the Philippines’ top residential condominium developer and the country’s biggest builder of residential condominiums in terms of units completed in 2010.

Three Megaworld property developments, in particular, may be suited for your child’s needs as these have schools within its township and, at the same time, located near other prestigious schools and universities—thus lending credence to Megaworld’s “live-work-play-learn” philosophy.

1.) McKinley Hill. Located at the bustling Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig City, this Megaworld township project is a dream come true for most parents as it has the most number of institutions, with four schools to choose from.

It is home to Enderun Colleges, which offers courses such as culinary and hotel/restaurant management; Chinese International School Manila; Korean International School; and the Meridian International College, which is a business/IT/arts school.

McKinley Hill is likewise near the International School, Japanese School, British School, which are all located within BGC.

ONE Eastwood Avenue is strategically situated near top universities within the Katipunan area.

Parents can choose from a number of residential projects located within the McKinley Hill, which included The Venice, Tuscany Private Estate, McKinley Hill Village and Mckinley Hill Garden Villas. It is also just minutes away from the Makati central business district, various institutions, commercial establishments, the airport and places of worship.

The latest addition to this township is Viceroy, a residential condominium project that will see the construction of four towers, which will have 22 stories each.

The Viceroy will feature a dozen amenities and facilities such as the 15-meter lap pool, fitness station, gym and clubhouse for future residents to enjoy and indulge in. It also has a play deck at the second level where students can relax and unwind after a busy day in school.

Units can be combined for those wanting to have bigger living spaces.

2.) Eastwood City. Located in Libis, Quezon City, Eastwood City is a 16-hectare state-of-the-art residential, business, commercial and entertainment city development. It is made up of various residential developments and is strategically situated near top universities within the Katipunan area, as well as various institutions, hospitals and places of worship.

Eastwood City residential developments, according to Megaworld, are meant to cater to parents who have children studying at the Ateneo de Manila University, Miriam College and the University of the Philippines and want a safe and secure environment for them.

One of the latest additions to the growing number of residential developments in Eastwood City is One Eastwood Avenue.

Future residents of this two-tower project, which is set on the best and most prestigious location within Eastwood City, will be assured of a relaxing, comfortable living experience. The project has amenities that include a lap pool, sky gardens and covered courts that can be converted into a multipurpose area. Unit cuts at One Eastwood are executive studios, one- and two-bedroom units.

THE VICEROY is the newest addition to the McKinley Hill township development.

3.) Newport City. Conveniently located at Pasay City, Newport City is home to the Genting-Star Tourism Academy, which offers culinary, tourism and hotel/restaurant management courses.

Just minutes away from the Makati central business district, Newport City’s residential developments like the Residential Resort, The Parkside Villas and The Palmtree also provide convenient access to top schools in the metro including Asia Pacific College, Don Bosco, Colegio de San Agustin and Assumption College.

One of the newest residential projects in Newport City is the Savoy Hotel, a 10-story luxury condotel with 610 executive suites, twin-bedroom suites, queen suites and special units for the “specially abled.”

Savoy Hotel will feature first-rate amenities, attentive housekeeping and room services that would surely make student life more convenient. Residents are also accorded easy access to Newport Boulevard’s shop-and-dine destinations and the tourist-oriented shops of Newport Arcade in the residential block.

Aside from the stylish accommodations, the new Savoy Hotel will also guarantee parents a balanced lifestyle for their kids with its various recreational offerings that include a swimming pool, bar lounge, massage deck, gym, transportation services and business center.
