Euro falls below $1.27, lowest level in 4 months

TOKYO – The euro tumbled against the US dollar in Asian trade on Wednesday, falling to its lowest level in four months amid rising concern over the eurozone as debt-hit Greece gets set for fresh elections.
The single currency hit $1.2693, its lowest against the greenback since January 16, while it was buying 101.96 yen, down from 102.12 yen in New York on Tuesday.
