Dole taps RFM

Concepcion-led RFM Corp. has entered into an exclusive distribution partnership with Dole Philippines.

In a statement on Monday, RFM said it was tapped by Dole to be its exclusive national selling and distribution arm for Dole’s packaged and processed fruits products like pineapple slices, chunks and tidbits, as well as fruit cocktail, fruit mix, juices, mixed fruit drinks, fruits (in jars and bowls) and tomato sauce.

RFM president Jose Concepcion III said this was a welcome development as Dole products would complement the product offerings of the RFM group, which include White King Fiesta pasta and sauce, cake mixes, Selecta milk, Sunkist juice products, and Swift meat products.

Dole is consolidating its selling efforts into one major distributor to have a “more cost-efficient and simpler but more cohesive sales and distribution system that should lead to better placements and sales revenues for Dole products,” RFM said.

Asia CEO Forum

Poised to challenge well-entrenched real estate players in the Philippines, Alphaland is developing what have been called “the most audacious” real estate projects in the Philippines. Among these are a 32-hectare lifestyle development envisioned to transform Manila Bay into a world-class destination and a 500-hectare island resort positioned toward a global, luxury market, according to its president, Mario Oreta.

Oreta will be the speaker at the Asia CEO Forum, the country’s largest networking venue for multinational and leading Philippine companies, on April 26 at The Tents of Southgate Tower at the corner of EDSA and Chino Roces Avenue. The event begins at 7:45 a.m.

Alphaland chairman and key financial backer is Roberto Ongpin, ranked by Forbes magazine as one of the country’s wealthiest individuals. The company counts the Ashmore Group as its partner.
