Hong Kong shares open up 0.17%
HONG KONG – Hong Kong stocks opened 0.17 percent higher on Thursday, bucking trends in Europe and on Wall Street where share prices fell on nervousness over the eurozone’s woes.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index was 35.59 points higher at 20,816.32 in the first minutes of trade.
