Anything is ‘homepossible’

SB Furniture offered free interior design consultations.

Acquiring a home for the first time can be overwhelming. As a new homeowner, you are bursting with excitement over the reality that you finally have a space that you can call your own. At the same time, however, you are feeling anxious whether you can actually turn this space into a real well-balanced home.

Avida Land is well aware of this, prompting Ayala Land Inc.’s middle-income property development arm to hold “Homepossible: Design Weekend.”  The event offered informative and hands-on tips to clients who recently bought their first home from Avida.

The property developer continues to be an advocate of socially responsible living, partnering with Muni. This grassroots movement aims “to create a healthy, sustainable, waste-free world” by educating and encouraging citizens to be more conscious and considerate of what we buy, what we eat, how we travel and how we do business.

Interior designer and Urban Abode owner Ma. Concordia Abella shared with first-time homeowners what they need to know and consider when designing their condo unit.

A licensed interior designer, Abella grew up in the construction and furniture business and holds post as the chair of the interior design department in the UST College of Fine Arts and Design.

A mindful living panel discussion, meanwhile, was hosted by Muni wherein the concept of mindful and sustainable living and how to incorporate these concepts into one’s everyday life were taken up.  Participants were presented with the challenge of a zero-waste lifestyle and given access to local products to support local brands and communities.

Featured in the talk were Mara Sebastian-Marzan of Marsse Tropical Timbre, Tish Martinez-Castillo of Human Nature and Reese Fernandez-Ruiz of Rags2Riches and Things That Matter.

“Homepossible: Design Weekend” was held on July 14 at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Bonifacio Global City. Avida Land partnered with AUB Bank, Abenson and SB Furniture to offer move-in must haves and once-in-a-lifetime deals to those present at the event.
