Megaworld Corp., through its subsidiary Global-Estate Resorts, Inc. (Geri), is spending some P8 billion to develop over the next decade The Hamptons Caliraya, its second ‘integrated lifestyle community’ development in Lumban-Cavinti, Laguna, surrounding Lake Caliraya.
“The development’s key highlight is Lake Caliraya as the community revolves around the lakeside concept, inspired by The Hamptons New York, which has become a major vacation spot to America’s elite society. Aside from having an exclusive, upscale residential community, The Hamptons Caliraya is envisioned to be another tourist destination in the South,” explained Glenn Heraldo, vice president for sales and marketing of Megaworld Global-Estate Inc.
This 300-hectare development will comprise of lakeside residential villages and villas, a town center, two 18-hole golf courses and clubhouse, and a Marina Club that offers a wide range of water sports activities such as boating, jet ski and kayaking, as well as a shophouse district and resort hotel district.
A highlight at The Hamptons Caliraya would be The Hamptons Village, an 11-hectare lakeside residential village that will offer a total of 86 lots-any one of which can serve as your next vacation home. Take your pick as the lots, with cuts ranging from 500 sqm to 1,800 sqm, can be adjacent to the golf course or the lake with a buildable area for a private dock.
The village will have access to the lake and the proposed Marina Club, and will have its own clubhouse and private marina.
Premier destination
Similar to its namesake, The Hamptons Caliraya is touted to become the country’s next premier tourist destination, attracting the affluent of Philippine society with its distinct commercial district, wide array of topnotch amenities, and a high-end residential community-all located along the beauty of Caliraya Lake.
Here, the prestigious and exclusive image of The Hamptons in New York will definitely be the direction and inspiration for The Hamptons Caliraya.
Hence, one can only expect the same kind of opulence and elegance, that strong sense of privacy and privilege, most especially for the residents, because apart from the magnificent homes and the diverse lifestyle activities at The Hamptons, the community can also revel in the refreshing views of Lake Caliraya and Mt. Banahaw.
The launch of The Hamptons Caliraya last December has so far brought to 23 the number of Megaworld’s townships and integrated lifestyle communities across the country. Six are being developed by Geri in Boracay, Tagaytay, Cavite-Laguna, Las Piñas City and Antipolo.
