A new gem in Boracay

Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay’s presidential suite

As the Philippine economy continues to grow, local tourism is booming as well with more resorts now opening, especially in our world famous Boracay Island.

Opening in time for the Christmas holidays is Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay, which is located at Station Zero. Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay is the third Crimson property under the management of Chroma Hospitality Inc., after Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan, and Crimson Hotel Filinvest City Manila.

The five-star resort is a tropical island paradise combining elegant contemporary architecture, landscape, and interiors with natural materials such as sand, stone and wood complemented by the warm ambience of Filipino island living.

The resort features one presidential suite, 22 villas with private pools, 72 one-bedroom suites, 97 deluxe rooms, Saffron all-day dining restaurant, Mosaic Latin American Steakhouse, pool bar, grand ballroom, The Pavillion, meeting room, Crimzone Kids Entertainment, three swimming pools, a fitness center and the famed Azure Beach Club and Aum Spa.

Situated in Station Zero, the island’s most exclusive location, Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay boasts of private and undisturbed white sand beach and cool crystal clear waters.

Secluded and pristine, it evokes memories of the Boracay we love and long for. The sea arrival creates a truly exclusive VIP experience for guests, setting the mood for their stay.

Responsible for all hotel and resort operations comprising 192 rooms is Laurent Bourgeois, the newly appointed general manager of the highly anticipated Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay.

Laurent brings a wealth of experience having spent more than 20 years working in luxury hospitality. He gained considerable expertise during a distinguished international career working in Japan, China, Belgium, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Qatar, and the UAE.

Prior to joining Crimson Hotels & Resorts, Laurent served as resident manager for Shangri-la Qatar, Shangri-la UAE, and Shangri-la Manila. He was also the F&B director in Shangri-la Hong Kong, where fine dining restaurant Petrus garnered a Michelin star on its first year, and two Michelin stars on the second year.

He served as EAM during hotel opening for the flagship of Ritz-Carlton in China. He has also taken up management roles for Mandarin Oriental and Grand Hyatt. At that period, Grand Hyatt Tokyo obtained the highest F&B revenue for Hyatt worldwide.

Chroma Hospitality country manager James Montenegro shared that they are confident that with Laurent’s extensive experience in hotel operations, he will contribute significantly to the success of the new resort.

Laurent shares: “What excites me about Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay is how much it looks and feels like the Boracay I first experienced, way back in 1981—without the chaos, without the crowds, without the loud parties.”

“Crimson Boracay is tucked away in the island’s most exclusive location called Station Zero—its secluded and pristine white sand beach and crystal clear waters really take me back to that memorable first holiday on the island with my family. It’s almost as if I went back in time and rediscovered the lost magic of Boracay. We can’t wait to share this piece of paradise with our guests when we open later this year,” Laurent added.

At the annual Red Charity Gala next week, October 14, Crimson Resort & Spa is donating a three-day, two-night stay in a villa for the benefit of Philippine Red Cross. The luxury package good for two includes land and boat transfers and meals, paraw sailing and massage.

This item will be auctioned with Air Asia round trip tickets for two and World Traveller luggage.
