LB Levinson Brothers, Inc.: 20 years of business excellence
MANILA, Philippines – When entrepreneur Ben Monteiro established his Laguna-based company, Levinson Construction Corp, in May 1998, it was only as an additional means to support his growing family. As his company grew, so did his dreams. Today, 20 years later, Levinson, renamed LB Levinson Brothers Inc., supports the dreams of all those working for the company.
“Throughout the years, it has been Levinson’s signature to provide excellent and trustworthy services to all its customers, as embodied in the company’s tagline, ‘Trusted service at its best’. And it will continue to be so in the years to come. This is also true for all LB Levinson employees, who are all given ample opportunities to hone their skills and better themselves while they work in Levinson. Ultimately, everything that’s done aligns to the company’s goal of being a God- and family-centric organization,” shares Monteiro, who is now joined by his two sons in managing the family business.
Initially, Levinson was engaged in civil work projects for power and telecommunications companies, but has since expanded its range of services, catering to major clients such as PLDT, Globe, Eastern Telecom, Miescor, Huawei Technology, Fibr Homes, and other smaller but no less significant industry players.
Over the decades, Levinson has gained the trust of its clients, and has proven its capability and efficiency to deliver, reinforcing its mission and vision to “Actively pursue the thrust to be a key service provider and reliable business partner in the telecommunications and pharmaceutical retailing industry.”
Levinson’s accomplishments have been recognized by the industry, earning the company numerous awards and citations. Some of these are from clients, particularly Globe Telecom–“Best SLA in Install for 4Q 2010;”Outstanding Contractor for Luzon 2011”;Best in Repair SLA for 3Q 2011”;”Outside Plant Maintenance and Services Contractor of the Year 2012”;”Excellence in Quality of Installation and Repair Best Contractor, 3rd Quarter 2012”; and the accolades continue.
Driven to explore other channels, Monteiro ventured into the pharmaceutical retail business in 2008 and 2009, and acquired a Generika Drugstore franchise with its first outlet located in Sta. Maria, Bulacan. This move proved to be as successful as contracting, and to date, the family operates 16 Generika branches located all over Luzon. In recognition of their generic medicine sales achievement, 11 Levinson-owned stores have been included in Generika’s Top 100 Stores nationwide. The Sta. Maria, Bulacan and Angono, Rizal branches both earned spots in the Top 10.
Monteiro looks back on the past two decades, proud of how much his dream has grown and how his vision has been fully realized. “The future is always bright and opportunities in various fields always beckon.
