They can turn the purchase into an investment and rent the condo unit to new tenants (after their child graduates) to help defray the monthly amortization. Effectively, the purchase translates into a recurring income stream for the investor parent,” Soraino explained.
“Ultimately, when the condo and the land values appreciate, the parents or investors will realize that they are spending the same on rental as they would on an actual monthly payment. The investment will also favorably build up their equity base,” he added.
