Nestled in a warehouse complex on Chino Roces Avenue in Makati City, La Fuerza Compound is an expanding new retail hub for furniture, art, lighting and home décor.
Newest on the block is Designa Italia, a high-quality Italian furniture store that carries a wide array of leather sofas, living room occasional tables, dining tables and chairs and bedroom sets. The all-in-one store for beautiful furniture is the brainchild of the mother and daughter tandem, Dette Aquino-Tan and Audrey Tan-Zubiri. With pieces from Alf Italia, a solidly established furniture house since 1951, the new store carries an elegant interpretation of a classic yet contemporary lifestyle.
Designa Italia is also home to Saporini. They offer sofas made in the historic and heritage rich center of Italy where skills and the traditions of working with leather are passed on from generation to generation. Each leather hide is naturally tanned using only water-based chemicals for 30 days and each sofa created is a celebration of Italian talent and creativity.
“We are sure that people will truly appreciate the design and function of our pieces and they will easily find a place for them in their homes,” said Dette Aquino-Tan.
