Tycoon Andrew Tan-led Megaworld Corp. has unveiled a new township project in General Trias, Cavite, and has committed to invest P10 billion to turn this 140-hectare project called “Maple Grove” into a world-class development.

The township, the property group’s 21st in the country, would have a mix of residential, retail, office and institutional components.

Maple Grove, projected to be developed at a cost of around P10 billion in the next 10 years, is located 45 minutes away from Makati and other Metro Manila central business districts via Coastal Road and Cavitex. It is seen as an entry point to the booming industrial and residential center of the Cavite-Batangas corridor.

“In the last 27 years, we have built townships that catered to the evolving lifestyles of Filipinos. As we continue to expand our township footprint in key growth areas across the country, innovation and design would be a significant factor in our masterplan,” said Megaworld senior vice president Jericho Go.

This is Megaworld’s fourth integrated urban township development in the booming Cavite-Batangas growth area.  The company has over 2,000 hectares of land in this corridor alone. Doris Dumlao-Abadilla
