The top reasons for owning a home in Metro Manila

Convenience and Uniqueness: These are the top reasons for owning a home in Metro Manila.

Since the 1900s, condominium developments began to grow rapidly in Metro Manila, which marketed the convenience of having one’s own home inside a tall building, guarded by its own security guard, equipped with high-speed elevators, at a less expensive cost (or a more flexible payment term) compared with house-and-lot packages. Thus, condominiums have instantly become a more popular choice of home for city dwellers.

Today, the real estate and condominium business has become stronger. According to accredited real estate investment management firm JLL Philippines; Metro Manila has become “one of the top 30 real estate investment cities in the world”. In the recent years, more developers have entered into the business and new residential tower constructions have been noticeable everywhere. Because of the many options available for buyers, most companies have began to adapt a more creative approach when it comes to the conceptualization and construction of a home.

The market has become smarter as well, where more of the homebuyers’ preferences revolve not just on convenience but also as importantly, uniqueness. What makes a property always unique is its location. No two houses can be built in one same spot at the same time. But given that a lot of properties have claimed to be the “first and only” in one location; and as the number of homes that have started to compete for homebuyers’ attention rises, the next go-to in the checklist would be exclusive features.

Real estate developer Empire East has got it all figured out. “In the industry, there is an advantage in being the first. And there’s an advantage in being unique. Empire East has done both” says Empire East President Atty. Anthony Charlemagne C. Yu.

Empire East was the first in the country to craft Transit-Oriented Developments (TODs). A concept inspired by real estate developers in other countries, which the company brought to the Philippines. It involved a conscious effort to connect homes directly to main transportation choices. In Empire East’s case, a direct bridge to the MRT 3 – the most popular and still the fastest choice of transportation in EDSA.

Empire East’s vision to make EDSA a livable address came early in 2000. “We were the first to set up Pioneer Woodlands along Pioneer St. corner EDSA. And we are the first to announce that it will be directly connected to the MRT. That is so much win for homebuyers” says Yu. If you have been a regular EDSA motorist, you’d notice that sometime in 2007, it was only Pioneer Woodlands that stood along EDSA. Now, almost all developers are planning to build there. However, only Pioneer Woodlands has that exclusive advantage of being directly connected to the MRT – giving the most premium mobility to its homeowners.

Given the traffic situation in the country, a home like Pioneer Woodlands is just what people will need. It’s very near the malls and with a transportation option like no other; residents will be serviced by an unparalleled convenience on proximity to the Central Business Districts in Makati, Ortigas Center and all over and beyond Metro Manila.
