Hilton hotel group expands to Clark
HILTON Worldwide and Hilton Hotels & Resorts signed last month a management agreement with Clark Sunvalley Resort to form and jointly manage a new project in the Philippines to be called Hilton Clark Sunvalley Resort.
This latest project, which is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2017 within the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga, is expected to strengthen Hilton Worldwide’s presence in the Philippines, alongside its Conrad Manila and Hilton Manila projects.
“We are committed to growing Hilton Worldwide’s presence in the Philippines and the signing of Hilton Clark Sunvalley Resort is integral to our portfolio expansion plans for the country, which focus on key gateway cities, economic hubs and emerging secondary cities,” said Andrew Clough, senior vice president of development, Middle East and Asia Pacific, Hilton Worldwide.
“Hilton Clark Sunvalley Resort is a great addition to our growing portfolio. We are pleased to bring our flagship brand to this dynamic city where Hilton Clark will be the choice hotel for guests looking for memorable travel experiences,” Rob Palleschi, global head, full service brands, at Hilton Worldwide, added in a statement.
Hilton Clark Sunvalley Resort will be a 268-key hotel that will form part of a mixed-use development with a casino, a 36-hole golf course, a water park, an international school, high-end residential villas and world famous spa, kids club, cooking school, and sports facilities which include a horse-riding facility.
Aside from providing continuous and various activities/programs for its guests, Hilton Clark Sunvalley Resort will also have an all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant, lobby lounge, poolside café, and a 3,380 square-meter-wide meeting spaces like a ballroom and function rooms.
The resort will be only four kilometers away from the Global Gateway Logistic City and the Clark Green City, and roughly five kilometers from the Clark International Airport—which meanwhile has direct flights to key cities such as Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Doha and Macau.
Hilton Clark Sunvalley Resort is also connected to Metro Manila and other key areas in the Central Luzon region by a network of highways.
Lee Seung Wook, director for sales and marketing at Clark Sunvalley Resort, said the group had chosen to partner with Hilton Worldwide because of its “sterling reputation and deep hotel management expertise.”
“And given the strength of the Hilton brand, we are confident that Hilton Clark will be the hotel of choice for Clark’s growing numbers of visitors,” Lee said.
The Clark Sunvalley Country Club, which is part of the integrated resort, is a private country club.
