Scavolini opens Manila showroom
A kitchen is the central part of the home. In these modern times we live in, the kitchen is now the new living area where people meet and entertain while cooking up their dinner. Regardless of size, a kitchen should have a perfect balance between design and function.
With over 50 different kitchen models to choose from, Scavolini has a kitchen for each type of personality. This best-selling kitchen brand from Italy is now in Manila offering a full range of services from kitchen planning, outfitting and installation.
Scavolini was founded in Pesaro in 1961, thanks to the initiative of the brothers Valter and Elvino Scavolini. In just a few years, the development was significant as the company turned from an artisan-based firm into one of the most important kitchen furniture manufacturers in central Italy. Finally in 1984 Scavolini gained the leadership in the inner market, becoming and remaining till now the undisputed number one kitchen furniture manufacturer in Italy.
Scavolini is now available in the Philippines. After successfully opening a flagship showroom in New York, United States, the brand has set its sights to worldwide expansion, opening more than 80 mono-brand showrooms within the past decade in cities such as Cairo, Moscow, Dubai, Detroit, Miami, Taipei and Shanghai.
The recently opened Scavolini Manila showroom is located in The Peninsula Manila Hotel in Makati City, where it boasts of five complete kitchens and five bathroom displays. Brian Hontiveros, Scavolini Manila’s general manager, said: “Scavolini makes huge investments in order to design and guarantee products where styling and technology come together to meet all interior design and functional requirements. The key plus factors: a production entirely designed and produced in Italy, the range of about 40 models and 350 finishes; a focus on design, always in line with the latest trends; quality also expressed through the meticulous choice of materials, requiring rigorous selection of suppliers; a great quality/price ratio.”
Scavolini continuously experiments and collaborates with other companies and designers. Just recently, for the Successful Living from Diesel collection, Diesel and Scavolini—two key proponents of Italian style worldwide—have joined forces to create a modern kitchen with materials, treatments and finishes that express all the vintage spirit so central to Diesel’s DNA. With the perfect fusion of the Diesel lifestyle and Scavolini’s experience both companies have created a revolutionary product for its sector.
Another creation of Scavolini is called Motus designed by Vittore Niolu. The latest model, which is perfectly in line with the latest trends, creates an interconnection between the kitchen and the living room. “Today the kitchen, together with the living room, is ever more dedicated to communication and sharing. It is no longer a functional area to prepare food but is also a space for relationships.” says Vittore Niolu.
With Scavolini’s success in creating efficient use of storage in the kitchen, Scavolini has also ventured into the bathroom. From a design standpoint, the bathroom collection reflects the extensive range and customizations typical only in kitchen collections: pullout drawers, horizontal or vertical wall units, open units with various depths and a collection of more than 25 exclusive washbasins built into the furniture; taps, shower boxes and trays, sanitary fittings and a line of 30 different mirror and lighting systems. Everything is designed to create a coordinated ambiance able to meet practical, aesthetic and emotional demands.
